Oh…I am just tickled green….I am happy happy happy…

OK, its been a while since I have written. I have been lazy…. Things have been good. I am at a salinity of 1.010 now…I am on my way to being a salty….but the boss says I will have to wait till I am all grown up till i get the full salt water treatment. The other guys in the 10g are doing well….Matilda and Hansel are getting fat……Derek…well…he is still vertically challenged….the boss cant seem to straighten him out….But…he seems to be doing ok.

OK guys…its late…I am sleepy….Gnite!

EARTHQUAKE!!!

Hi guys…..I got freaked out today….the tank started shaking uncontrollably…I was so scared…I hid in a little cave for a few minutes….almost crapped myself. C’mon….you would have too if you lived in a glass house and had no way out….and the outside of it was filled with water. If it broke, you would have drowned.  Right after it happened, the boss came out and looked for me…but I was too well hidden.  I finally poked my head out and his face changed from worry to relief.  He looked at me and said I looked really dark.

Anyway, we found out later that it was a 5.4 magnitude quake, about 30 miles away.  Talked to the other puffers…they all seemed ok, but Daria looked a little scared. Poor little girl. She is new and this happened. I hope she is going to be fine.  Well, things seem ok now, and I am more relaxed.

New to the family!

Well, it was the bosses birthday yesterday, and Joanne bought him a new Dwarf Puffer! She is pretty. Her name is Daria. They named her that because a friend they met online on the Puffer Forum named Daria told them about a fish shop in San Gabriel, and thats where they found her. So thats why they named her Daria. The boss is going to try and get some photos of her soon. She is tiny. She fit in sooooo well in the tank. Well, thats all thats new right now…See you all later! Elevator going down!

My little adventure

OK, So I am a dumbass just like my boss, but it nearly got me killed. I was eating breakfast the other morning, and I got a little close to Pinchy’s cave. He caught me in his claws. I had to puff up to get away. Then I saw more worms and started eating there again. The boss tapped on the glass and then i realized that I had to get away! Talk about stupid.

Anyways, I am a little down. The green square came into the tank and took Halo away. The boss said that he needed to get a new home. I am happy I got to stay, but I miss Halo. But, I am going to have fun exploring. Oh well. I am gonna go to bed now. Hope everyone is doing well……..Elevator going down!

Recent Updates

Hi guys and gals….its Elevator. Things are going well here. The boss just changed our rocks around….that pissed Pinchy off quite a bit…got his cave filled in….but he has it dug out again.  Halo and I are excited, we are going to have some salt added to our home soon….gonna become adults soon!  Here is a video of our newly redone home

Talked to the guys in the other tank today. They got a remodel yesterday. And some new friends. The neon tetras are back, they got some Amano and Cherry Shrimp, and some new plants. They are quite happy over there, though Derek does seem a little sick. Hope he gets well soon. They got a new video too!

We got a big treat today. Our first crab.  It was frozen…..then thawed in our tank water…..I thought I had died and gone to heaven….IT WAS YUMMY! And the boss tells me he has clams too.

Just a quick update…the boss also said he saw Blinky a few days ago….he seems to be happy in his new home.  I am happy for him….He is a good friend.

Pweeek Gaaa Bwooo

At least that is what it sounds like underwater…..I popped my head out when the boss was yelling it and it sounded more like peek a boo. I swear…he is an idiot, but I am playing along with him. He goes hiding around a corner, and I think he is out of the room and go about my own business…then he runs back in the room and yells “peek a boo”. So I come bolting to the front of the aquarium, fins a blazing with my most excited look on my face. All that work and not even a nibble of food. I think I am on a diet right now. Anyhoo, I am really sleepy right now…gonna go in my cave and go to bed for the night. Good night! Elevator going down.

Sad day

Hi guys. Its been a sad day for us today, our new friend, Fie Dorra died today. Looks like he was not doing so well.  It was a pity he had to go…..We said our goodbyes and the boss took him away. I can’t really type much today…still a little sad about it. Tomorrow is another day. Elevator going down……and feeling a little down too.

Its Official

I have taken over. I feel elated to be the one to tell you all about my tank life with my buddies.  We just recently had a phone installed for easy communication with our neighbors, Derek, Hansel and Matilda. This was decided because soon, our water salinity is going to be raised, and it didn’t seem like a good idea for me to be jumping in and out of the fresh water to my brackish water.

So this is whats been going on. Zoolander is now officially Derek Zoolander. He didn’t like being called by his last name all the time. Made him feel a little like an outsider. So he asked us kindly to call him Derek. We have agreed.

Blinky moved out tonight. I was sad to see him go. We learnt a lot from him. He showed us how to hunt ghost shrimp. I was putting those lessons to use tonight, but didn’t manage to catch one. Soon! I swear I will. Anyways, we bid him a goodbye, but the boss promised to keep us all in touch with eachother.

The dwarfs have a new tank mate. A pleco named Fie Dorra. He said he was in a brackish tank for a little while, and was being bullied by Sushi….he and Blinky are friends. He asked his mommy if he could move to a freshwater tank, and she said that he could. So he has moved in with them for now. One of the ghost shrimp started bullying him early on, but the boss caught him and put him in our tank for me to learn how to hunt more.

Well, thats all for tonight. I am gonna go hone my hunting skills more now. Elevator going down!

Just to let you know

I have given Elevator full control of this blog now that I know he can handle it. We had a small meeting today with all non food tankmakes…Elevator, Halo, Derek (Zoolander, Elevator will explain later), Hansel, Matilda and even Pinchy came by. All the dwarfs agreed that they were too small to navigate the keyboard, Pinchy said I was lucky that he even showed up to the meeting, and Halo said he never did learn how to use a computer in his school. Elevator on the other hand showed great enthusiasm, seems to love writing about what he and his fellow conspecifics and pals. So I officially hand the page over to Elevator.

New stuff in the tank

Hi guys! Its Elevator again.  The boss went to bed, so I am sneaking on the computer.  We had a small talk today….he said he might install DSL in the tank if he can figure out how to get a computer in here with us, till then, he is going to design some kind of water mask for me…..something like what he saw in that Hellboy movie…he said he would let me watch it when I am older…a little violent right now, but he showed me a photo, it looks cool!

Anyways, a couple of new things in the tank today…we got one more rock to top of our little caves and caverns rock formation.  Not sure it was necessary, but it looks nice enough.  And a new bubble stone. One of those long ones that has fine bubbles coming out of. It feels nice. Like a bunch of dwarf puffers giving me a massage.

Blinky seems happy with us for now. He will be going home soon….he just got a new home from what I gather from Joanne when she talked to Blinky today.  Ok, so I was eves dropping, but its not like its a big tank either.

I had a chat with the dwarfs, Zoolander and Hansel, today. They told me their woman was just named Matilda.  She is kinda hot. But I like my women a little bit bigger. They got quite excited today, they said they got some snails.  I brought this up with the boss before he went to bed, and he dropped one in for us. It was yummy. From what I gather, the French puffers eat theirs with a butter sauce….but that kind of sounds nasty to me. I like my snail sushi.
